China combined its regulatory certifications into CCC in a massive effort to improve its regulatory system. CCC became mandatory and CQC became volantary since May 1, 2003 and is governed by CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration

SRRC -State Radio Regulatory Committee

All radio Transmission Equipment exported to the People’s Republic of China or produced in the PRC (including pre-production) must be equipped with the “Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate” issued by the State Radio Regulation Committee (SRRC)

WPC - Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing

The Wing of Ministry of Communications, The national radio regulatory authority responsible for frequency spectrum management, including licensing, and caters for the needs of all wireless users (government and private) in the country.

BIS - Bureau of Indian Standards

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the national Standards Body of India working under the aegis of Ministry of Consumer Affairs

PSE - Product Safety Electric Appliance and Material

PSE, Product Safety of Electrical Appliance & Materials certification, is called as “Compatibility Test” in Japan. It refers to the mandatory market entry system for Japan’s electrical equipments and is an important content of Safety Laws for Electrical Equipmens. The mandatory date of PSE is April 1, 2001 and PSE mark is the Safety mark of Japan’s products.

Radio Certification

MIC stands for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications

MIC developed Notification No.88 of MIC, 2004 to regulate test procedures of the specific radio equipment. According to these steps, registration and certification agencies and manufacturers can conduct various tests of specific radio equipments.

VCCI

Japan VCCI certification is specifically for IT equipment, electromagnetic launch control, which are products of EMC Certification certification, which is different from the other countries in the application of the certification system and diverse products. VCCI Certification is optional, entirely on a voluntary basis, but was used by many companies in order to prove the quality of the product. Therefore, VCCI certification only in theory, the “voluntary” market pressure to be the actual implementation. VCCI only member of the Laboratory are eligible to do the certification, which must be authorized by VCCI certificate of such reports to the laboratory. VCCI membership for the world but not restricted to Japan.

KC

KC certification covers three schemes, namely EMC, Radio, and Telecom.

SIRIM

The SIRIM certification scheme was established in 1972. Standards used for the certification of the regulated products are determined by the regulatory body. EC (Energy Commission) specifies MS (Malaysian Standard) to be used for the certification. In the absence of MS, IEC and BS are the preferred standards.

BPS

PS (Philippine Standard), ICC (Import Commodity Clearance)
BPS (Bureau of Product Standards) is responsible for testing electrical products based on the Philippines national standards for the purpose of product certification. PS/ICC marking on products covered is compulsory prior to selling.

CPS

The objective of CPS (Singapore Consumer Protection Registration Scheme) is to safeguard the consumer’s interest by ensuring household products, designated as controlled goods, to meet specified safety standards. CPS is administered by SPRING Singapore (Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board) as the safety authority since 1991 under the Consumer Protection Regulations.

IDA

Under the Telecommunication (Dealers) Regulations 2003, a dealer who wishes to manufacture, import, let for hire, sell or offer or possess for sale any telecommunications equipment must first obtain a license.

BSMI (Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection)

As of July 1, 2005, IT equipments must conform to safety requirements in addition to EMC requirements. Electrical and electronics products are subject to either DoC (Declaration of Conformity) scheme or RPC (Registration of Product Certification). The certification covers safety and EMC requirements depending on product category.

NTC (National Telecommunications Commission)

On July 1, 2008, Thailand’s NTC (National Telecommunications Commission) started enforcing the conformity assessment program for telecommunications equipments.
