SABS-South Africa
The safety scheme for electrical goods is operated by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) on behalf of the South African government. Compliance can be provided by the SABS based on the submission of the test report from a recognized laboratory. The mark is not required for certified equipment. The SABS is also authorized to issue compulsory EMC (emission) Certificates for ICT products by the Independent Communications Authority South Africa (ICSCA).

ICASA -The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa
The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) is the regulator for the South African communications, broadcasting and postal services sector, ICASA’s mandate is spelled out in the Electronic Communications Act for the licensing and regulation of electronic communications and broadcasting services

NRCS
The National Regulatory Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) is established in terms of the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act, 2008 (Act No. 5 of 2008).
NRCS is responsible for the administration and maintenance of compulsory specifications and the implementation of a regulatory and compliance systems for compulsory specifications.
